More on Third Watch

Yet another subpar espisode of a show that is increasingly harder and harder to watch. I can't even begin to rehash the ridiculousness of the terrorism part of this episode or Ty's role in covering up the suicide of his father's killer.

Jason Wiles/Bosco fans were thrilled because this was the first episode of the season to feature him for more than 30 seconds. I guess the rest of the season will be him dealing with still trying to recover from being shot. In one scene they showed Faith's daughter recoiling in horror when Bosco's bandage fell off his face because of how "horrible" his scar is. Well, if he was really shot in the face as badly as he supossedly was I would say that the scar would be even more horrific than what they depicted and probably a lot bigger too.

Cruz apparently has some sort of possibly terminal illness which wasn't identified and she is refusing treatment for. Speculation is that it's either HIV/AIDS or cancer. HIV or another sexually transmitted disease makes sense because that would connect it back to the storyline when she got raped. The thing is that as someone pointed out on a fan site, they write the character as an absolute bitch who is impossible to like and then try to garner sympathy for her by having these things happen to her such as the rape and now the illness. It's sad anytime someone goes through those things but I have a had time really feeling sorry for this character considering how nasty she can be and how often she mistreats others.

I really should start watching some of the re-runs. I forget which cable channels carries them but they're on Mondays-Fridays at night. The old shows were the much better ones for sure.
